Initial psychiatric evaluation

Approximately 1 hour long Includes comprehensive psychiatric examination, review of medical and family history, diagnosis, prescription for medication (when appropriate), and wholistic treatment recommendations.

This appointment is for established patients only who wish to follow up with a medication treatment evaluation. While not preferred, this option is available for those with cost concerns or simple medication management purposes.

A 30-minute session is often appropriate if you are doing well and need efficient sessions of psychotherapy and/or management of your medications.

If you would like our longest appointment, you will achieve likely more with the additional time for more complex issues. This follow up session involves medication management and more intense psychotherapy. Specific treatment modalities used include psychodynamic or insight-oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
